We all enjoyed taking part in the Crossmichael Sports today. Our 3 teams did REALLY well - but our rounders team did EXCEPTIONALLY well, because WE WON!!!
The winning House this year was Kenbank - you can see Jamie receiving the cup. Boys Champion was Jack and Girls Champion was Kirstin. Well done everybody.
We had our first induction morning today with our new friends from P5. We are the new P6/7 - we can’t wait for next August!
Our storytelling project with John Wheeler is all about solving conflict without resorting to WAR. We had a great day today at Maggie Gordon’s BARFIL Farm, watching Harris and Lewis tilling the land and piling up more earth onto the potatoes. We could hardly lift the ploughs far less pull them through the soil! And, we don’t know how Harris and Lewis managed to walk through the potatoes without stepping on them - we found it really hard!!
Our whole school is raising money for a charity called Sailung TriNetra. It is a charity which helps children in Nepal eg by purchasing books and pencils to provide them with a better education. We have made cardboard cubes to take home and collect our spare change, which will be sent to improve the lives of many children.
We created board games all about WATER. Today we got to play the games. They were ALL really great and we learned LOADS about WATER AND FRICTION!
